Movie buffs have speculated that Frantz, who worked with Orson Welles on radio dramas in the 1930s, inspired that enigmatic Citizen Kane line, “Rosebud.”… (Excerpt from Passages.)

On 15 May 2017, Lorraine Frantz Edwards attempted to trace the ancestry of Alfred A. Frantz (on Ancestry.com) but could not find the parents of William Frantz/France born in Pennsylvania in 1813. This was an interesting trip into a unique family history.

Newspaper clipping dated 1983 regarding a Frantz reunion.  From personal knowledge, Lorraine Frantz Edwards suspects it was a reunion of descendants of Mathias Frantz, a descendant of Immigrant Christian Frantz. Alfred said “It’s not my branch of the tribe, but I wish it were.”
