“Genealogy without valid documentation is mythology.” ~~ Lorraine Frantz Edwards has been passionate about sources! Please click this link and read an interesting article about the aphorism. So, rather than “author unknown” or “anonymous,” (or no attribute) I will attribute the saying to Mary L. Henke.

Below, I (Lorraine Frantz Edwards) was in the same genealogy society (Lancaster, California) with Eugene Lemmon. He was a very, very interesting gentleman and an extremely knowledgeable researcher. ~~ On 19 Apr 2017, I spent at least two hours attempting to locate the records of Gene’s ancestry to Pocahontas. There were numerous Google searches, and Ancestry.com searches but I drew a blank! Furthermore, I was positive he published a “Lemmon” family history but found no such publication.  ~~ Gene Charles Lemmon, b. 3 Jul 1925, d. 10 Sep 2005.  R.I.P.

Very interesting story  by Vee Housman ~~ No connection whatsoever with the names in this library. However, an extremely interesting story about finding ancestors during a search at the library.
